The tree
A coming of age story of a boy facing a choice between human companionship and his imaginary friend.
This was my graduation film at the Bezalel academy of arts and design.
The project
The fourth year of studies for the diploma was dedicated to the creation of an original short animation film - the graduation project.
Overall time working from first story draft to final screening was 18 months for a team of 3-4 people.
My role in the project
I served as producer, director of animation, technical director, lead animator, art co-director,
modeler and layout artist. I also wrote the story that was later adapted into the screenplay.
What I learned
I learned the fundamentals of being a producer and the consequences of having a non-contributing team member. I also learned what it takes to work in a team and how to distribute workloads between team members.
